Room dressing at Altrincham FC
Woodyatt Warner venue dressers work very closely with the team at Altrincham FC to create memorable events in the Community Sports Hall. Having seen our previous work at the Club, we were asked to dress the Hall for a surprise 40th birthday party. The theme was glitz and sparkle.
With the Sports Hall being a blank canvas, pretty much anything can be done to transform it into the perfect setting for your wedding, birthday party, christening etc. The room is 24m in length so very spacious. However, by adding in the star cloth curtain, the room can be brought in so as to cater for the smaller events that don’t require the entire room.
For this particular event, we covered the walls in white star cloth drapes then added in a black star cloth to stand behind the DJ. The lighting is all set so as to twinkle in sequence with the LED dance floor to really add the WOW factor to the room. The tables were covered in black and white table cloths with alternate black and white chair covers around them with mirror ball centrepieces illuminated from beneath so as to reflect lighting across the table.
The lighting plays a huge role in the transformation of the room, and a purple glow is the best option. By using the strip lighting in the Hall along with up lights set around the walls, the room was finished and ready for the arrival of the birthday girl.
