Weddings at The Higher Trapp Hotel

Nestled in the heart of the Ribble Valley and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Higher Trapp House is a unique place in this part of Lancashire with the ability to offer fully exclusive wedding use for your special day. There are plenty of highlights at this scenic wedding venue. From the traditional oak staircase, cozy fireplaces and original leaded windows overlooking the fine Pagoda in the carefully manicured gardens and lush green lawns. An ideal setting where you can hold your ceremony.

This was the location for our recent wedding. Woodyatt Warner were asked to provide all the decor for Laura’s big day.

The Bride, Laura chose Woodyatt Warner to decorate the hotel for her wedding day. Her ideas were to have a very elegant style, with simple white flowers and elements of green foliage. Simple neutral colours really add the wow factor to the venue.

Wedding Ceremony

To start the day in style, we set up all the decor in the ceremony room. Consisting of a full length aisle carpet for the happy couple to walk down. Either side of the carpet we introduced clear perspex columns for the centrepieces to stand on. The columns provide a clean natural look.

The centrepieces were a mix of two different styles. The first floral design was created using a thick base of various shades of green foliage. Included were stems of eucalyptus, ruscus and ferns. Touches of white roses, peonies and hydrangeas were then added to bulk up the overall display and increase the size. These floral displays were then placed onto tall gold frame stands. All of which were then stood upon alternate columns along the aisle.

The second centrepiece style was made from a double gold hoop decorated with a scaled down version of the larger floral displays. By doing this it kept the theme running throughout.

A three metre wide flower wall was installed behind the registrars table and over 4000 petals were scattered along the aisle to finish off the decor.

Wedding Breakfast

Upon completion of the ceremony, the room was turned around to accommodate for the top and guest tables ready for the wedding breakfast.

A long full length foliage garland decorated the top table. This was filled with with trailing wisteria, roses and peonies to match the centrepieces. This cascaded over the front of the table. Centrepieces were then placed onto the guest tables and the flower wall moved to behind the Bride and Groom’s seats.
