The White Hart at Lydgate Autumn Wedding
The White Hart at Lydgate was a recent venue for us. This was our first wedding at the venue and it certainly brought about some gasps and joy. The Oak Room and the Pavilion were both utilized for this wedding. With the Pavilion set out for the ceremony and the Oak Room ready for the wedding breakfast.
Guests arrive through a private entrance in to The Oak Room. This fantastic area was built in 2005 using green oak timbers. It boasts a unique vaulted ceiling with central glass atrium. This provides a light and airy space bringing in all the natural light.
The Oak room has the ability to cater up to 180 seated guests for your wedding breakfast. For the evening reception there is enough room to hold around 230.
For the ceremony in the Pavilion we framed the registrars table with our own unique heart shaped autumnal tree. This is 10 foot high so even the tallest can stand under it. Having this surrounding you is a stunning addition for those photos when signing the register.
By including a wide variety of leaves, pine cones, twigs and candles along the aisle it certainly adds the wow factor to the room. To finalize the decoration, we added an abundance of floating candles mixed with small bunches of flowers. This creates different height elements for the ceremony.
The Oak Room was transformed using all the magical bright colours of Autumn. Orange, Brown, Deep Red, Purple and Greens all add to the transformation. The wooden beams highlight the floral centrepieces perfectly on the tables. The slightly different styles of floral displays break up the uniformity in the room and add subtle differences whilst keeping in theme with the rest of the decor.
