Set in the picturesque surroundings of Northop, Flintshire, in the heart of the Welsh countryside. Soughton Hall is an exquisite venue steeped in history. Built as a Bishop’s Palace in the early 18th century, Soughton Hall has been the home to a succession of heirs in the Wynne-Bankes family tree.

William John was responsible for re-working of Soughton Hall in the 1820s. From his travelling adventures in the Middle East he brought back creativity and ideas by adding the mullioned windows, the first floor drawing room, dining room and the stylish Islamic turrets upon the court walls. The plans were drawn up by fellow traveller Sir Charles Barry, the architect that created the British Houses Of Parliament.
