Isla Gladstone Weddings
Woodyatt Warner venue dressers were at the stunning Isla Gladstone in Liverpool creating something special for Jeannie’s wedding day. It was just under two years ago we provided the décor for Jeannie’s sister, Jenny, at the Crowne Plaza but the difference in style couldn’t have been any further apart.
The Isla Gladstone Conservatory is a breath taking venue set in the grounds of the renovated Stanley Park. Converted with a huge amount of care and attention to detail, this Victorian glasshouse nestles amongst picturesque rose gardens, lakes and historic sandstone pavilions.
Adjacent to a fairy-tale bandstand, where you can hold your ceremony, the Isla Gladstone is a place of charm and beauty.
The sun beams through the all round window structure, breathing warmth and drama into any occasion. With the seasonal changes on view from the inside, a wedding in Winter, spring, summer or autumn has a wide range of plus points. From midday through to midnight, this huge space provides the ultimate setting for your dream wedding.
Jeannie wanted a very glamorous wedding with an abundance of candles, glass vases and the stunning blossom trees to fill the space in the venue. With its high ceiling, tall centrepieces are a must in this venue as without them, the room looks lost.
The top table was set up using sequin table cloths with various height cylinder vases filled with candles running across the entire table, from one end to the other. The taller vases were surrounded with hydrangea blossoms to keep the flow of the centrepieces running throughout all the tables, and we added crystal candle stands to the front of the top table for an ornate effect. All in all, it oozed class and charm, especially with the canopy blossom tree overhanging from the side.
The guest tables were a mixture of blossom trees decorated with hanging glass globes filled with candles and matching hydrangea blossom rings for the base of the trees of which were used on the top table. The other half of the tables were filled with a variety of cylinder vases with candles and hydrangea heads.
The second canopy blossom tree was placed by the entrance where Jeannie decided to use it as a seating plan by hanging the table numbers from the branches so the guests could find their name and matching table.
We couldn’t be any more proud to have worked for both Jeannie and Jenny on their wedding day, and wish them both the best for the future.
