Mere Resort & Spa Wedding

Karen and Craig chose Cheshire venue dressers Woodyatt Warner to style the Mere Suite at Mere Resort & Spa for their wedding day. Having dressed the venue many times previously, we know what works well with the décor.

Karen decided upon simple yet elegant neutral colours with an abundance of green foliage for the flowers. By placing them on stunning crystal chandeliers and using them as table centres, there was an added touch of glamour.

For the ceremony we put in a 15 metre wedding carpet and brought in limewash Chiavari chairs as an alternative to the standard banqueting chairs. The chiavari chairs were then covered in beautiful floral chair covers with sewn in pearls of which a bespoke design to fit the chairs. By bringing in ornate wedding columns and placing them all the way along either side of the aisle carpet with the chandelier centrepieces on top of them, there was a tunnel effect aisle walkway for the Bride to walk down.

Upon completion of the wedding ceremony, we turned the room around and put the centrepieces on the dining tables ready for the wedding breakfast. Whilst the meal was in full swing, we then put in a stage and black star cloth backdrop for the band and then installed a black LED dance floor ready for the evening reception to begin.

The final part of the surprise was the creation of a huge 2 metre high ice sculpture vodka luge of which was in the shape of the famous Petronas Towers skyscraper. With the Bride and Groom spending the majority of their time living in Malaysia they wanted something different, but to also represent where they live. We put the idea to them of the Petronas Towers and they immediately took to it.
