Ashton on Mersey Golf Club Weddings
Golf clubs are not the most popular destinations for weddings, but they can be hidden gems that are often overlooked. Woodyatt Warner venue dressers have a huge amount of experience in decorating all venues from Castles to Hotels, Village Halls to Marquees, so working at different venues on a regular basis allows us to be more creative.
Ashton on Mersey Golf Club is set alongside the river Mersey and has great views across the impressive scenery of the golf course and surrounding countryside, so there are ample opportunities for those all important wedding photos.
The function room at the golf club is your standard style set up mainly in use for golfers and various events throughout the year so with some added extra touches, the room can be completely transformed into a stunning room for any wedding.
Andy and Amy were the happy couple tying the knot locally in Church before holding their wedding reception at the Gold Club, where we brought in everything from drapes to lighting, centrepieces to coloured linen.
The walls were covered with star cloth draping of which contain twinkling lights throughout. By then installing up lights around the room, a coloured lighting was introduced to match the colours of the wedding.
For the tables we provided the large floral displays filled with white, ivory and pink roses with hydrangeas and peonies all placed onto a fluted glass vase so as to add height to the tables and not impede the view across the table. By introducing coloured napkins to the tables, and ivory ruffled hoods to the chairs, the colours of the wedding are added subtly.
To finish off the look, fairy lights were added across the ceiling to really add some sparkle. This completely transformed the look of the function room into a perfect setting for a wedding reception.
