Grecian theme wedding

Wedding themes are few and far between, but Cheshire based award-winning venue dressers, Woodyatt Warner, have noticed a surge in one particular theme. We have been asked on numerous occasions to dress a wedding venue in a Grecian style for the Bride and Groom.

Marquees are an ideal backdrop for a Grecian themed wedding as the white structure is a perfect blank canvas to create something quite unique and stunning. Add flowers and a few props and I’m sure you will agree, we can set the tone for a perfect wedding day.

Below you will see a marquee set with bespoke lime wash chiavari chairs complete with gold seat pads, a textured flooring to cover the beams, an abundance of hanging basket balls of which were grown 3 months prior to the wedding so as to be flowering and add the wow factor. Then add the differing size centrepieces from the low floral arrangements covering the candelabras, to the large tree displays.

Any venue can look special with the right touch, and as you can see from our work at The Pines Hotel in Chorley, we draped the entire room in white. By wrapping variegated ivy around the room and gold candelabra centrepieces, the room takes a drastic change. Add to this, the white chair covers with antique gold sashes and gold charger plates for the top table, then everything fits into place for a stunning wedding setting.

Our next Grecian themed wedding will be at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on 20th August 2013, where all the stops will be pulled out to bring something extra special for Samantha and Laurence.
